Pass The Popcorn: Mike Epps Joins BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ + Boris Kodjoe Lands Role On ABC’s ‘The Club’.

Mike Epps has a lot to celebrate these days. The comedian and actor has booked two major gigs!
According to Deadline, Epps will join Gabrille Union in the second season of BET’s “Being Mary Jane.” He will play a family man named Chris Warren, a husband and father in a great marriage who Mary Jane beings to envy.

I never used to be the pancake kinda girl. I preferred waffles, but growing up, we didn’t have a waffle maker, so pancakes it was. My mom had me in front of that stove before my 13th birthday and I remember when she taught me pancakes, all be it from the box, but it was still fascinating to me. My first batch would always come out squished, non-cirular and burnt on one side. It never missed a time–as soon as that second batch was done, I’d smile, looking down at the steaming pile of fluffy pancakes.

Bubbles Magazine is pleased to feature the very dapper actor award winning and critically respected OC Ukeje on the cover of its new edition.  OC is undoubtedly one of the entertainers whose ascension to fame and stardom makes even the casual fan proud: he’s a regular young Nigerian who in spite of his university education chose to make film making his vocation. Add to the fact that the film industry is a little underrated then you start to get a sense of the work he’s had to do. OC is also an accomplished musician; it took a bit of self debate to go the acting route- he could easily have become a singing sensation. Is this the best we’ve seen Laura Govan look? I think so. I was so digging her take on the crop to and skirt look. She offset a sexy Balmain turtleneck with a pleated BCBG skirt in a prim silhouette–and an edgy faux lather finish. Snaps for this ensemble!

Neiman Marcus Could be Opening NYC Location.

• Neiman Marcus could be making its way to NYC’s forthcoming Hudson Yards. Apparently, the Bergdorf Gooodman-owned company is in talks with Related Cos to open up a 200,000 square-foot multilevel store on the corner of 30th Street and 10th Ave. Spokespeople for Neiman Marcus declined to respond, writing “We haven’t made any such announcement so it’s rumor and speculation — upon which I can not comment.” Either way, it would be nice to have another luxury shopping option (as if there aren’t enough!) in NYC. Tory Burch to Launch Men’s Accessories.

• There are major changes ahead for Tory Burch and her eponymous label. The designer today announced that her brand will begin to produce men’s accessories for Spring 2015. Expect leather goods, belts, (maybe footwear), and accessories of all stripes. Also coming to Tory Burch? An activewear line that will have options for for “yoga, running, golf and tennis, plus casual wear for air travel and the like.” (WWD)

Mara Hoffman Teams Up With Havaianas.

• Mara Hoffman is the latest designer to team up with Havaianas on a limited edition range of flip flops. Hoffmann adds her touch to the sandals, adding four prints from her resort collection. The line will debut April 1st at Bloomingdale’s, as well as online at Havaianas and Mara Hoffman’s websites. (WWD)

Zoe Saldana is L’Oreal’s New Face.

• Zoe Saldana‘s inked a deal with L’Oreal Paris, making her the new celebrity face of the cosmetics brand. “As a L’Oréal Paris spokesperson, being able to say, ‘We’re worth it,’ means so much to me,” she continued. “I want to share that value with women so they can embrace it and execute life with confidence. I am thrilled to join this beauty journey with such an inspirational brand.” Saldana will appear in L’Oreal print and television ads, and E! will broadcast an exclusive look at the actress’s debut on E! News at 7p and 11:30p. (E!)
