The BFC has announced this year’s NEWGEN designers, chosen by a panel including former NEWGEN recipient Mary Katrantzou. Simone Rocha, 1205, Claire Barrow Marques’Almeida, Ryan Lo, Lucas Nascimento, and Danielle Romeril will all receive backing from the British governing fashion body. In particular, Claire Barrow and Danielle Romeril will both get exhibition sponsorships, Ryan Lo will get one for presentation, and the rest will receive support for their upcoming runway shows for fall 2014.
