Gucci is a popular choice for magazine covers and red carpets with its focus on superior craftsmanship and overwhelming luxury. It’s easy to imagine our favorite starlets strolling in an ensemble or even a pair of the brand’s shoes on our feet–in some ways its inaccessible, yet still so gorgeous that it’s worth the occasional splurge. Fall 2014 did not disappoint.
Check them out:
Frida Giannini has a love affair with the 70′s, but dialed it back a decade to the 60′s for her latest foray. Fall was infused with a pastel color palette of minty green, blush baby pinks, sky blues, and lemon yellows, anchored by camel brown.

Exotic skinned boots finished with horsebit details accompanied most looks. Soft leather satchels and sunglasses mimicked the season’s cool colors.

The showing was mostly about solids, though a feral leopard print crept in on trench coats, dresses, and accessories.

The focus was definitely not on the red carpet, unfortunately. Feather embellished or sequined floor grazing gowns were replaced with short dresses seemingly more fit for day or tea time.

This collection seemed very much for the everyday woman who wants a bit of opulence. Jeans and flat shoes shared the runway with decadent furs; even dresses were paired with comfortable boots.

The pastel color palette is supremely pretty. I can see Kerry Washington in a nipped, buttoned coat, pushing her baby in a pram, bottles poking out her oversized tote.
