Ronda Rousey's 12-fight winning streak is over and her first MMA career loss, which many have called the biggest UFC upset in history, has landed her in the hospital.
About 59 seconds into the second round of UFC 193, opponent Holly Holm kicked the UFC Women's Bantamweight champion in the head, knocking her to the ground, and then continued to fight her before the referee pulled her away.
"She was transported [to the hospital] because she got knocked out," UFC President Dana White later told reporters about Rousey. "And her lip was split in half...and they had to sew her lip."
"I mean, obviously, she's completely bummed out and depressed," he added.

The pay-per-view fight was watched by millions, including a slew of celebrities. Many viewers expressed their astonishment at the outcome online.

And naturally, the knockout sparked several memes.

"Getting in here, I had so much love and support. I just felt like, 'How could I not do this, with all that love?'" Holm told announcer Joe Rogan, crying and wearing her new UFC Women's Bantamweight champion belt.
After the fight, Holm did a little victory dance.
