Best Models Of The Year 2013.
When you’re tall, beautiful, and have a contract with one of the top modeling agencies in the world, it’s hard to have a bad year. And misfortune proved to be a challenge for these models, who seemed to be everywhere these past 12 months. Between campaigns, editorials, runway gigs, and a smattering of lucrative side-projects, these six girls definitely made the most of 2013. Pictured above is Jourdan Dunn.Is there anyone who doesn’t adore Jourdan Dunn? Her bubbly disposition and undeniable beauty have continued to help her pick up campaigns with DKNY and Rihanna x River Island, as well as appearances in GQ, Allure, Vogue Spain, and more.
Her YouTube cooking show Well Dunn with Jourdan Dunn is as hot as ever, with guest appearances from 2Chainz, Chef Roble, Cara Delevingne, and Wale. And the icing on the cake? She was named Model of The Year by Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine.
Joan Smalls
We’re not yet officially into 2014, and Joan Smalls is already proving to be a force to be reckoned with. She’s starting the year off with covers for Vogue Spain and ELLE‘s January issues.
Her resume for 2013 is equally impressive, including spreads for Another magazine, V magazine, i-D, Harper’s Bazaar Brazil, as well as Vogue‘s US, Brazil, Paris, Russia, and Korea iterations, an appearance in Prabal Gurung‘s Spring 2013 campaign, and so much more. We expect her to plow full steam ahead into the 2014 with more covers, spreads, and campaigns.
Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne dominated once again as one of the industry’s favorite faces this year. Her credentials? In addition to landing campaigns for La Perla, Burberry, Saint Laurent, Mulberry, Fendi, DKNY, and more, Delevingne has covered British Vogue, W, Numero Tokyo, and pursued her interests in acting and music.
Chanel Iman
As she has been for quite some time now, Chanel Iman is resting on her contract coins, and enjoying life as something of a socialite… but that doesn’t mean she’s not still working.
Karlie Kloss
Karlie Kloss has pretty much cemented herself as a staple in the fashion industry, gracing campaigns for Coach, Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Lacoste, Donna Karan, and more–all this on top of her duties as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
She’s nabbed editorials in CR Fashionbook, ELLE, Vogue US, Japan, Turkey, Paris, and Spain, V magazine, and more. She even realeasd a capsule collection of extra-long jeans for tall girls with FRAME denim.
Malaika Firth
Newcomer Malaika Firth had a fantastic 2013. She burst onto the scene cast in Prada‘s Fall 2013 campaign–the first black woman in almost 20 years to do so. She quickly became one of fashion’s newest ‘it’ models, walking for Miu Miu, Valentino, Celine, Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Mary Katranztou, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Proenza Schouler, and many, many more.
