• This year’s nominees for the CFDA Fashion Awards have been announced. Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, and Marc Jacobs are up for the womenswear prize, while menswear nominees include Public School‘s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, Rag & Bone‘s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, and Thom Browne. Wes Gordon, Rosie Assoulin, and Creatures of The Wind‘s Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters are up for the rising talent award in womenswear, while Hood by Air‘s Shayne Oliver, Tim Coppens, and Todd Snyder get the nod for rising menswear designer. Accessories Designer of The Year will be a competition between Wang, The Olsen Twins for The Row, and Proenza Schouler‘s Jack McCollugh and Lazaro Hernandez. Tom Ford is slated to get a Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement award and Bethann Hardison will receive the Founder’s Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert for her continued work promoting diversity in fashion.
