Inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Exhibition: Manus x Machina

 
Now that the 2016 Met Gala has concluded, let’s get down to the business: the actual Costume Institute designs. Manus x Machina takes on fashionable feats, done both by the hands of expert artists in ateliers all over the world and those completed by sewing machines and the like.


Yves Saint Laurent Couture Spring 1983 Couture is a huge focus, with designs from Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and many others on display. Andrew Bolton curated the extravaganza and as you have already guessed, he’s a genius!
