Show Review: Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2014.
Cushnie et Ochs has easily become the go-to brand for sultry “come hither” looks for Hollywood movie premieres, fashionable fêtes, and television appearances. The brand continued to give the toned Tinseltown set what it covets in its latest collection for Fall 2014, chock full of thigh-high slits, plunging necklines, and other skin-baring details. Cowboy hats provided an unexpected touch to many of the most provocative ensembles.
Check out more below:
Supermodel Karolina Kurkova opened the show in a lace bustier top with a matching pencil skirt, led by a cowboy-style hat: a pairing that was out of the blue, yet sultry no doubt. The lace romance continued with sleeves of a flared skirt dress, the bodice of a blouse hidden by a leather bustier and structured black blazer, the brand’s requisite sexy frocks, and more.
If your style is more pared-down, not to worry: Cushnie et Ochs did present a slew of ensembles that skewed more conservative. Black blazers that accentuated the female form by nipping in at the waist, office-appropriate full skirts, an altar-worthy off-the-shoulder gown, a chartreuse tie-neck blouse with a matching high-waist pencil skirt: despite their proclivity for all things cutout and racy, the design duo showed some real duality here that was both refreshing and unanticipated.
Naturally, the collection’s form-fitting frocks and figure-baring gowns were a sight to see. Expect sartorially-savvy ladies including Lupita Nyong’o, Selena Gomez, and Alicia Keys in these designs in the coming months. I’d especially like to slip into a green strapless jumpsuit: it will be killer with a curly fro, dewy skin, and simple, single-sole sandals.
Did Cushnie et Ochs’ Fall 2014 collection impress you?
