Fashion Scoop: Kim Kardashian To Front Blonde Hair In New Campaign, Three Models Of Color Open Balenciaga Fall 2015 Show,Kylie Jenner Is The Face Of Nip + Fab, Three Models Of Color Open Balenciaga.
- Kim Kardashian’s new first-yellow-now-platinum blonde do made it’s
first appearance at the Balmain fashion show in Paris, but is here to
stay for a bit. After a bit of recalibration by her hair stylist (it
came out a little more yellow than she preferred at the beginning) the
look will reportedly appear in an upcoming ad campaign. According to
who? Kardashian herself of course. And though she has kept mum on
exactly which campaign, our money is on a brand that starts with B and
ends with almain. (WWD)
- Today is a two-fer when it comes to Mrs. West. In addition to
announcing that upcoming campaign, there was another bit of buzzy news
about her this weekend. Likely due in part to her ability to
#BreakTheInternet, the star has made Time’s list of 30 most influential
people on the internet. Not too shabby! Especially for someone coming
out with a book based on social media, no? She’s joined by President
Obama, Bieber and even T. Swift. (The Fashion Spot)Aamito Stacie Lagum, Nykhor Paul and Lineisy Montero were the first
three models out at the Balenciaga Fall 2015 show this weekend. And
while the runway behind them was a steady lineup of white faces(to be
fair, they weren’t all white as Grace Bol, Ajak Deng, Mari Agory, Amilna
Estevao and Leila Nda all took turns) the result had an effect. It was a
push towards progress it seems, one that was sort of preempted at Rag
& Bone in New York when they also sent out a trio of models of
colors to open their Fall 2015 presentation. Here’s to tons more. (Teen Vogue)
- Since three is the charm, let’s wrap up the Jenner-Kardashian-West
news for the day. The youngest sister of the brood, Kylie Jenner, has a
bit of news of her own. The reality and social media star — as well as
hair color maniac — has been tapped as the ambassador for the London
based Nip + Fab skincare and body brand. She’s the second ever face of
the brand and will do a live interview about all things beauty in
London. If you will be on that side of the pond Saturday, purchase
something from the brand’s site before March 12 for a chance to be
invited to the interview. (Daily Mail)
- Some people just don’t understand! Though the post has been deleted
now, Vogue editor Elisabeth Von Thurn Und Taxis (yes, she has five names
because she actually, is in fact German royalty) posted a photo on
Instagram that drew the ire of her followers and most others on the web.
While in Paris for the shows, TNT(that’s what they call her) posted an
image of a homeless person reading Vogue with the caption of “Paris is full of surprises… and @voguemagazine readers even in unexpected corners!”
Granted, there would have been no problem had a street photographer or
someone else posted it, but from her it felt as if she was finding humor
at someone’s unfortunate status in life. She’s since apologized. (Fashionista)
