Da Brat Heads to Empire: It's a Blast From Cookie's Past

Empire Entertainment is welcoming Da Brat into the mix! Well, sort of. She's not the newest artist signed to Lucious Lyon's label, but she will be making music in an upcoming episode of Empire and E! News has an exclusive sneak peek at her debut.
Check out the platinum selling artist and sometime actress (may we never forget the cinematic masterpiece that was Glitter!) in action in the exclusive photo above. The rapper will guest star and perform in the Dec. 2 fall finale of the Fox hit, when Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) decides to plan a concert at the prison where she was locked up for 17 years.
Da Brat, who is currently putting finishing touches on her own new music, plays an inmate from Cookie's past named Jezzy.

According to Fox, the last few minutes of the episode will be especially exciting (and likely agonizing, considering we'll have to wait until practically April of 2016 for new episodes), in case you are a crazy person and like to stop watching episodes shows before they're over. It's only an hour, people. Who are these monsters who would tune out before then?
 Da Brat's new music is planned for release before the end of the year.
