While the rest of the world is focused on bright colors, Chanel brought us back to Parisian couture in its finest fashion.

Tweed,
structured shoulders and soft palettes graced the runway, with
Renaissance Victorian-era frocks and cuts making a resurgence.
Drafted
to take place inside a replica of the Chanel Ateliers, embellished
clothing still took on an air of sophistication, with strong structuring
and floral motifs cascading from embroidered vestments to hemlines and
lapels.

A
strong deviation of Chanel’s previous Cuban excursion collection,
Lagerfield returned to Parisian roots and executed looks of simplified
elegance and pose.

Of course ateliers such as Chanel set the blueprint for Haute couture. What do you think of the Chanel collection?
