Rag & Bone Pre-Fall 2014

I was happily surprised with Rag & Bone’s Pre-Fall 2014 lineup. The collection kicked off with a leather inset bomber jacket and matching athletic-inspired trousers that gave the feeling of a sweatpant, naturally with a more luxurious spin. Sneaker-inspired shoes anchored the looks in leather with contrast lace-up fronts. A white tuxedo vest lent structure when juxtaposed with sweatpants, while varsity jackets tied at the hips of the models added a dose of ease.
Marcus Wainwright and David Neville were inspired by 90′s British street style, full of its active wear and effortless cool. Active wear that of course never saw the inside of a gym, but echoed that sporty chic that has pervaded the 2013 market so heavily. Comprised of only black, white, and grey, it’s clear the brand wants its legion of “It” girls to go for the less is more approach for the season.
