• L’Oreal‘s introducing a new makeup app for iPad and iPhone, Makeup Genius, which turns your front-facing camera into a makeup mirror. The app will allow users to try over 300 products. “With this, they can scan the shelf and see the products on them and even move around to see different angles,” a major mass-market retailer told WWD. “It’s all about instant gratification and we provide that [versus online shopping].” The app is due to launch in June.
