Ashish Gupta plucked an all black cast for his Spring 2015 show,
uplifting brown skin with his signature scintillating sequins, offered
in a rainbow of colors and iterations.
Spring 2015 is all about gingham, and Gupta offered his unique take
on the trend, casting tops, dresses, and pants with bright blues,
yellows, reds, and greens, adding bejeweled embellishments to hems and
sleeves for extra pizzazz.
Animal prints were also incorporated into the mix with serpentine patterns cast on tanks, fringed shorts, jeans, and jackets.
The fun showing took an even more playful turn with its ode to celeb culture. Bedazzling portraits of Miley Cyrus and Kim and Kanye, along with a bottle of pills labeled ‘Rush’ decorated gray sweatshirts.
Everyone from Eve to Vivica Fox and Rita Ora have found themselves splurging on Ashish pieces, and there’s no doubt even more starlets will follow suit. While a good number of looks seem best left on the runway, the bold colored gingham separates will undoubtedly be on many lust lists come next season.
