Show Review: Helmut Lang Fall 2014.
Fall is all about texture, and Helmut Lang jumps on board with the season’s signature for Fall 2014: the collection overflowed with fur, leather, shearling, and angora. The brand’s trademark prints have a moment, but powerful solids reign supreme from neutral camel to fiery red.
Check out more below:
Simplicity is queen with an airy turtleneck layered under a classic shift, cozy turtlenecks, leather wrap mini skirts, and timeless pencil skirts. Leather platform footwear fix the looks with modern edge.
Outerwear will be sure to keep the brand’s myriad of global fans warm for the season with oversized shearling coats and teddy bear furs. Bags are also covered in fur: a trend we’ve seen emerging on the runways just a few days into NYFW.
The Colovoses excel at prints thus flame patterns and abstract motifs cover roomy tunics, slouchy trousers, sexy slit skirts, and boyfriend blazers.
LaLa Anthony, Halle Berry, and Savannah Brinson James are among the brand’s aficionados and they will surely be pleased by some of the collection’s more streamlined designs. Mesh detailing, sultry peeks of skin, and structured dresses will undoubtedly make statements in front of any camera, albeit minimally.
