It’s never too late for a heritage brand to try new things right? Louis Vuitton is one such fashion house, staging a Cruise show for the first time in its 160 year history. Scheduled to take place on May 17th in Monte Carlo, the collection will also mark the debut of an interim show created by newly-appointed Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière. The runway presentation has received the royal blessing, as its said to be at the invitation of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, who are expected to attend. It’s also smack dab in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival, so expect to see the world’s most stylish ladies in some of the pieces mere days after their catwalk debut. (WWD)
