Add author onto Taraji P. Henson‘s impressive resume. The “Empire” star inked a deal with Simon & Schuster’s imprint 37 Ink. According to The Associated Press, the untitled memoir will chronicle Taraji’s rough upbringing in Washington, DC, being a single parent and her successful TV/film career. will be released mid-2016.
Taraji’s star is steadily rising. She is set to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend and make an appearance on her former show “Point Of Interest.”
In related “Empire” news, Taraji and Jussie Smollett attended the Summer Sizzle BVI 2015 Launch Party in NYC. Taraji is the ambassador of the Summer Sizzle BVI event that takes place July 23 – 27 in the British Virgin Islands.
