Her name is Pe’Tehn Raighn-Kem and in case you missed it, she’s a three-year-old who recited Maya Angelou’s “Hey Black Child” so adorably amazing, we can’t help but share! It only took Pe’Tehn a week to memorize the poem and recite it with all the confidence of a grown woman.

“She’s been reading since she was about 18 months,” her mother, Andrea told the hosts of Chicago daytime talk show Windy City LIVE, explaining that she and her husband exposed the little girl to recited words early in her life.
The power you have to influence your children to something positive is a beautiful thing. Many parents take advantage of this and help mold their children’s brilliant mind with positivity. Pe’Tehn is one of those lucky kids. We’re so in love with her!
How do you spend time with your kids in a positive way?
