It has been twenty-seven years since Lisa Bonet was bonafide one of the hottest women in the world by Rolling Stone and it’s clear she has no plans to give up her crown. When she married rock star Lenny Kravitz, it was pretty much a beauty explosion: both with dreads, nose rings, and the kind of killer fashion sense reminiscent of couples two decades before them.
She was never seen out and about in tons of makeup and was in many ways against all of the pomp and circumstance of Tinseltown. Best friend and former co-star Cree Summer was also like-minded in this regard and they both were ahead of their time: pioneers of the natural hair movement which is growing with popularity today.
Lisa’s fashion choices have always included rich textures, caftans, eye-catching embroidery, and even the occasional wide-brimmed hat. Of late, she has gravitated toward Chanel, as has daughter Zoe Kravitz.
Everything in fashion and beauty comes back around, but Lisa has never and will never go out of style. She has been a muse to many and with a face and a spirit like hers, she will surely inspire many designers both present and future. I would personally love to see her star in an ad campaign for a major fashion house or beauty brand.
