Beyoncé is the new Khaleesi.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's Game of Thrones, says she tried to "blag" one of Khaleesi's three dragon eggs to no avail. Queen Bey, however, owns one. "Apparently Jay Z bought one for Beyoncé, or something," the actress tells Harper's Bazaar. "I don't know." Clarke doesn't own any dragon eggs herself, she says, because "they are really, really, really expensive and they are really f--king heavy and serious works of art." Like Fabergé eggs? "Eggs-actly! Eggs-cellent!"
Beyoncé is a big fan of the show. As she told People in 2012, her ideal Sunday is "spending time with my family. No work, not even a discussion about work; lunch at my favorite pizzeria; having a glass of red wine; and watching Game of Thrones."
Clarke, who also counts Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum among her famous fans, won her life-changing role on the series in 2010.
"I was literally so over the moon to have an audition, just an audition, let alone for HBO," the British actress, 28, says in the magazine's June issue. "I was doing a million jobs and thinking it would never happen. Not a chance. Not. A. Chance."

Like many of her co-stars, Clarke bears little resemblance to the character she portrays. For example, the naturally brunette star wears waist-long blond wigs onscreen. Each character's wigs are stored in a "wig room" at Game of Thrones' studio base in Northern Ireland. "The wig room is incredible. Every character has a wig almost, because we've all got bonkers hair," Clarke explains. "I have named mine. Seasons 1 and 2, she was just Dany. And then Diva came along. She's completely huge. She didn't behave herself."
To this day, Clarke can't believe her good fortune. "That's my face; it's on that television. 'It's not TV, it's HBO,'" she says. "But every time I see it and every time I hear it, I wait for the Sex and the City song...every time!"
"Game of Thrones opened a lot of doors," she adds. "It opened them all."
