The starlet, who plays FBI agent Kate Macer in the crime thriller Sicario, walked the New York premiere red carpet on Monday in surprisingly minimal makeup. Her dewy skin played the perfect counterpart to her dusty-blue, textured dress.
"Given that the dress was such a statement, we thought it was important to make the hair and makeup minimal yet fashion forward," said Jenn Streicher, Emily's makeup artist. "We really wanted to keep everything very sleek and modern, and give Emily a glow to match the dress."
"For makeup, I wanted the focus to be skin. I used the AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact SPF 50+ in shade 104," noted Jenn, who used a Beauty Blender to apply the lightweight base. "She has such pretty skin to begin with and doesn't need too much coverage." The beauty pro then used Dior Nude Air Powder to set it.
"To finish off the look, I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder mostly on the cheek area to add her glow and then went with a very deep-berry lip by using Bobbi Brown's lipstick in Crimson and Make Up For Ever lip liner."
For a celeb, this beauty look is considered pretty low-key for the red carpet. For those who don't like wearing too much makeup, this is everything.
