Yeezy For All: Kanye To Lower Prices On His Clothing Line

Kanye West‘s collaboration with Adidas to create his clothing line has been one of the most misunderstood and polarizing collections for the fashion industry. Esteemed fashion journalist, Cathy Horyn lambasted his last collection, writing “The emperor has a new clothing line.”
West x Adidas is full of neutrals, oversized pieces, body suits, sweaters, stockings, and see-thru pieces. A fellow fashion insider texted me, “It looks live slave clothing.”  Some deem his clothing impoverished, others deem it athleisure; however, everyone agrees that it is grossly expensive.

From $395 cropped sweatshirts (I want it) to a $2600 distressed sweaters, it’s not affordable for a significant portion of West’s fan base.

For the past two seasons, fans and fashion lovers have been complaining about the prices and West is finally listening.

“You need to lower the prices of your clothes, man. I really want to wear them but they’re too expensive,” the videographer laments.
“Yeah, we’re going to get them lowered,” Kanye responds.
Almost as if he didn’t believe him, the videographer asks again, “Are you really?”
“Yes, next season,” Kanye confirms.
