#WCW: Taraji P. Henson

Nowadays it seems all eyes are on Taraji P. Henson, and with good reason, too. The Howard alum actress is literally everywhere: starring in the hit TV show Empire, grabbing covers left and right for magazines, and of course, her phenomenal win at the Academy Awards.

Over the years, we’ve come to see Taraji’s beauty evolution as well (because we will never forget Baby Boy), dedicating time and energy to distinguish what she likes and wears versus some of her characters (like Cookie, whose always for a strong lip AND eye). Taraji has her personal beauty look down to a science: you’ll always catch her with her dewy skin, arched eyebrows, and a daytime smokey eye. She’ll finish her look off with fluttery eyelashes, a subtle bronze/contour and of course, a nude lip. Every once in a while she may spice up her look by adding a different color on her lips or even experimenting with her lashes (Taraji has vocally expressed her love of faux lashes!), however at the end of the day, she knows what works for her and what to stick with. And why not? Many people pay a lot of money to have the glowing skin of Ms. Henson. In fact, Taraji’s dewy skin is so noticeable that she’s an official spokensperson for Jergens and their skin care line. All we know is we need to use whatever Taraji uses. Her effortless beauty definitely teaches us the biggest lesson of all: great beauty starts with great skin! She’s definitely our Beauty Crush, is she yours?
