Beyoncé Perserveres Through Rain and Lightning at Raleigh Show

Beyonce 'The Formation World Tour' - Atlanta
The show must go on. Beyoncé fought through lightning and rain during the Raleigh, North Carolina stop of her “Formation World Tour” on Tuesday (May 3), but it wasn’t flawless.
Queen Bey’s open-air concert at Carter-Finley Stadium was stopped midway due to inclement weather. Fans evacuated the venue and went to nearby PNC Arena for shelter.
Approximately 40 minutes later, after a break in the downpour, fans returned to watch ‘Yoncé finish her set (as per WNCN).
“This rain ain’t stop this show,” she said. “Ain’t nothing stopping my love for y’all. Thank you guys so much.”

Traffic was also an issue at the event. According to WNCN, some fans were stuck in traffic for hours before making it to the show.
Despite the hiccups, this show went on, but the same can’t be said for Nashville. That tour date, previously slated for May 5, was canceled last month and is set to be rescheduled. The next stop on the stadium trek is a homecoming on May 7, as Queen Bee lands at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

It reportedly cost Bey $60,000 to prolong the show but hey, that’s nothing to the queen. In other Beyonce news, the Lemonade singer took a stand against North Carolina’s Anti-LGBTQ Laws with a message posted on her site today.
As The Formation World Tour makes its stop in the Tar Heel state in the midst of such a controversial time, we think it is important for us to bring attention to those who are committed to being good and carrying on the message of equality in this core of controversy.
Among the many organizations doing the good work to get this bill overturned, there is Equality NC, a local organization dedicated to securing equal rights and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) North Carolinians.
To accomplish these goals, Equality NC tirelessly lobbies the North Carolina General Assembly, executive branch, and local governments, broadcast LGBT news, stories and content, and mobilize our communities on issues that matter, including marriage equality, parental rights, inclusive anti-bullying policies, employment discrimination, hate violence, privacy rights, sexuality education, adoption, domestic partnerships, and HIV/AIDS.
The letter goes on to encourage fans to support equality by “donating, volunteering, becoming an ambassador, attending an event, or simply spreading the word!”

It’s also being reported, Jay Z is in the studio masterminding his own version of Lemonade, which will tell his side of the story. I am not so sure about that tid-bit and would take it with a grain of salt.
