Instagram users were frustrated to find that posts tagged
#SandraBland weren’t appearing in the haghtag’s gallery page, a hashtag
that has garnered over 246,000 entries. Users criticized the social
media company, concerned that their entries were being censored.
Instagram, however, has been explaining that people started using the
hashtag to promote racist, violent and threatening content and needed to
sort through posts that violated its community guidelines. The hashtag
was restored following a 24-hour block yesterday at approximately 10 am
