Style Steal: The High Art Of The Abstract Print
Perhaps it was the First Lady who paved the way in a geometric-inspired dress from Alice and Olivia, but it seems that designers have found themselves in the midst of a pattern frenzy, a design race to find the next bold print. I spotted actress Claudia Kim in Paris, taking the hint, abstracting herself in head-to-toe brush strokes of Dior and inspiring us to “Dior-it-ourselves.”
Why It’s Steal Worthy: Kim elevates the abstract palette to high art by pairing the already wild pattern with an even more exotic patent leather platform. In an attempt to balance the drama and avoid the potential instinct to veer conservative, Kim celebrates these wild abstractions and reminds us that when it comes to couture, go big or go home.
