Peter Dundas has catapulted Emilio Pucci into such an “It” brand for the modern-day stylish and sexy set that it’s hard to believe that he has only been at the fashion house’s creative helm for five years. He didn’t stray from that sultriness for the brand’s Fall 2014 collection, though he did add cold weather-perfect knits into the mix for the season, inspired by both Inuit and Native American cultures.

Texture was heavy and luxe in the collection, playing to the traditional Pucci “gypset” mindset. Velvet suits lent to the menswear-inspired, 70′s chic vibe while plush outerwear was the perfect way to cover up the brand’s scantily-clad dresses.
Pucci has always been a print arbiter, thus patterns were in great supply on leg-baring turtleneck dresses, Resort-ready tunics, easy trousers, and even the knee-high boots.
Fringe felt fresh and relevant on intricately-detailed mini dresses and a cowlneck sweater dress, showing that the bohemian detail works effortlessly for both day and night.
Dundas’s Pucci is heavy on sex appeal, thus the red carpet-ready designs in the collection were high on embellishment, sultry doses of bare skin, and sheer fabric. Plunging necklines, cutout detailing, form-fitting silhouettes, and studs, in shades of gold, canary yellow, chocolate, and olive: Beyoncé’s blonde hair and glowing skin will killer in a plunging neckline gilded number, while it’s imperative that Jennifer Lopez opt for a halter gown with glamorous beading.
