Kelis Gives Birth to Her Second Son

It has been exclusively learned that the "Milkshake" singer welcomed a son in November. "Kelis has a healthy baby," an insider tells us, and adds that the baby boy is named Shepherd. The identity of the father remains unknown. Kelis is "thrilled," the insider continued.
We confirmed that the musical artist and recent cookbook author was expecting her second child back in August. "She is really excited about her pregnancy," an insider shared with E! News at the time. "She has a great support system from her family and friends. She is in really amazing spirits."
Kelis kept her pregnancy pretty private, but during a recent appearance at Los Angeles Women's Expo in October, the celeb shared how motherhood has changed her. "It enhances you. I don't know if it really changes you," she explained. "I think it just enhances who you already are. It makes the things that you do make sense. You're more poignant and more focused."

Back in 2009, Kelis welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Knight, with now ex-husband Nas.
"It's hard being a working, single mother," she told the Guardian. "On the flip side, it's awesome, too. I'm raising Knight how I think he should be raised. He's a great baby."
