Call her what you want…but you can’t call her broke (Sorry, I couldn’t resist the Migos reference). But seriously, no matter what you want to call Kim Kardashian, nobody can deny the leading lady to the ‘First Family’ of media is always the talk of the town.
Known just as much for her marriage to famous rapper and producer Kanye West, or the mother of Fashion’s First child North West, the new mother of Saint West is a constant name thrown into the ring of fashion discussion and style evolution.
We have all memorized Kim Kardashian’s wardrobe: Nudes, neutrals, and form-fitting crop tops and midi skirts. Usually, we hold our breath for the moment she will pop up in actual color, a welcomed surprise to all us fashion addicts. Nonetheless, she has an enviable closet we could only dream of playing in. We first met Kim through her friendship with socialite and known party girl, Paris Hilton, later receiving more notice with her relationship and…*cough, media promoting with boyfriend-at-the-time, Ray-J. That same year in 2007, the world would be introduced to Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which has now produced two spin-offs of Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
Although she’s had an interesting if not rocky past, Kim Kardashian has definitely surfaced as a fashion icon, style maven, and part of the power duo with Kanye West as the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple. With more social influence than we could ever truly understand, Ms. Kardashian-West has shown us she does what she wants, how she wants, and we all just live in her expensive, nude-colored world. She even makes pregnancy look effortless and chic!
She’s grown in both power as well as style, her evolution truly showing what a great stylist (Kanye, in this case), a smoking body and a fabulous makeup team can do for one’s image. What do you think of Kim’s evolution over the years?
