How To Pair Food With Wine.

couple-wineWhen it comes to pairing wine and food together, it’s easy to get confused about which flavor goes with which meal. Personally, I am a white wine drinker–Pinot Grigio, Riesling or Prosecco are some of my favorites. While I do enjoy a nice glass of wine at happy hour, I prefer to pair my wine with food. However, I do get a bit intimidated when I try to make sure I use the right wine with the right cuisine.

VOGA Italia Wine makes it easy to determine the best wine to serve when entertaining your dinner guests or out for a fancy meal. Oh and another perk of VOGA Italia Wines? Their sleek and sexy glass cylindrical bottle as well as their unique resealable cap makes it easy to grip and easier to store. You won’t have to drink the whole bottle, unless you want to!
Check out three basic pairings that every woman should know when entertaining or going out to dinner!

 Sparkling & Prosecco– Seafood

GetFileAttachmentSparkling and Prosecco wines are known as palate cleansers. Because of this refreshing characteristic, these bubbly beverages go hand in hand with seafood dishes. Some seafood dishes can have an overbearing taste and aroma, which can be cut down and enjoyed to its fullest when paired with a sparkling wine.

 Merlot – Red Meat

GetFileAttachment-1As a rule of thumb when pairing wine and food, the color of your wine should match the color of your meat. A full-bodied Merlot is robust enough to stand up to heavy meats such as t-bone and porterhouse steaks.

Pinot Grigio: Perfect for Vegetarian or Vegan Meals
GetFileAttachment-2Lean, clean white wines such as Pinot Grigio are perfect for pairing with vegetarian or vegan meals. While Pinot Grigio can bring a sense of lightness to a pasta dish that may be dense with cheese and oil, it also can enhance the light airiness of a meal adorned with fresh vegetables.

Moscato & Dolce Rosso – Dessert

Moscato and Dolce Rosso are ideal pairings with dessert items such as pies, cakes and ice cream. Fun and full of flavor, these sweet wines have a perfect balance of sweet and savory.
