Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2015.
Word surfaced that Alexander Wang would be releasing a denim line and as any thing that pertains to the brand, the news spread like wildfire. The jeans feature his love for high-tech and cutting edge design along with that necessary functionality the classic style requires — instantaneously “It” of course. The pieces will be up for grabs next week and we know that fashionable women the world over will be clamoring to slip their legs into them as soon as possible. The brand has also just released its Pre-Fall 2015 collection which also aims all of its attention at what the quintessential A. Wang woman wants.
His manner and methods here were incredibly refined — the details were present (as they always are with A. Wang), but they were subtle. He combined lounge, menswear-inspired shapes, and utilitarian design: all synonymous with the brand yet done again in a new and exciting way.
A black collarless leather jacket featured a breast pocket, zipper detailing at its elbow-length sleeves, and an asymmetrical zipper closure for a chic and unexpected take on the classic, while a pair of embroidered cargo pants put a feminine spin on the utilitarian silhouette. Black and white stripes were sexy when combined with cutout detailing and fishnet tights.
Wang also delivered some serious evening wear numbers, much to the pleasure of his celebrity clients and his retailers all across the globe. Though he didn’t break the mold with a strapless gown with leather side panels, simplicity always looks beautiful on the red carpet.
Thoughts on the latest from A. Wang?
