JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar Lead 2018 Grammy Nominees

Hip-hop rules the Grammys. JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar lead the nominees for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

The Roc Nation mogul earns the most with eight nominations including Record of the Year (“The Story of O.J.”), Song of the Year (“4:44”) and Album of the Year (4:44). As one of the most decorated winners in Grammy history, JAY-Z now has 74 nominations and 21 wins.
His Compton counterpart Kendrick Lamar scores seven nods for his critically-acclaimed album DAMN., which was recognized for Album of the Year and Record of the Year (“HUMBLE.”). Lamar has now been nominated 20 times and won seven Grammys.
Bruno Mars may see more Grammy gold in his future. The R&B crooner, who has won five Grammys, earns six six nods this year, including Album of the Year (24K Magic), Song of the Year (“That’s What I Like”), and Record of the Year (“24K Magic”), which he previously won in 2015 for “Uptown Funk” with Mark Ronson.
Childish Gambino follows with five nominations for his acclaimed album Awaken, My Love!, which was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year (“Redbone”), and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
First-time nominee Khalid earns five Grammy nods including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his participation in “1-800-273-8255” alongside Logic and Alessia Cara. SZA also lands her first five Grammy nominations for Best New Artist, Best R&B Performance (“The Weekend”), Best R&B Song (“Supermodel”), Best Urban Contemporary Album (Ctrl), and Best Rap/Sung Performance (“Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott).
The 60th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
