Hervé Léger By Max Azria Pre-Fall 2014.
Hervé Léger is the arbiter of all things bodycon and bandage, but Lubov and Max Azria step out from their signatures for the brand’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection. With a load of functional printed separates and longer hemlines, they are clearly looking to give their avid fans a bit more refinement and daywear, with an athletic-inspired spin. Colorful shimmering stripes kick off the collection on figure-skimming, short sleeve frocks, functional knits, and office-appropriate pencil skirts, bringing those last remnants of Summer into the beginnings of Fall.
Check out more of the collection below:
Forest prints add a nature-loving spin to sweatshirts, edgy zipper-detailed jackets, and cocktail-ready frocks. Black leather ankle-strap pumps and booties anchor the looks, while injecting a downtown chic vibe.
Naturally, the brand couldn’t totally eschew their bandage predilections, crafting gilded detailed jackets, zip-front pencil skirts, mesh-sleeved frocks, and flare-hem numbers from the slimming construction. Hemlines hit at or below the knee, really aiming to refine the stretchy fabric while highlighting a woman’s curves. Expect to see the likes of Mary J. Blige, Nicki Minaj, and Miranda Kerr in these pieces come 2014.
The selection of LBDs present are my favorite pieces in the collection, sure to last in their buyers’ wardrobes for years to come. Cutout and lace-up detailing give them a sexy and unique spin: not for the faint of heart, but are any of Hervé Léger’s designs for wallflowers?
