Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2014.
Prabal Gurung’s dressmaking abilities excels at red carpet-ready attire, but he decidedly focuses on daywear for his latest collection for Pre-Fall 2014. The blazer and trouser selections are plentiful with a focus on expert tailoring, functional separates, and a mix of both seasonally-appropriate neutrals and pops of bright colors for those last remnants of Summer. Feminine detailing from ruffles to sparkling embellishment is juxtaposed with menswear-inspired trousers. These are perfect studies for day-to-night, effortlessly allowing their wearers to jump from the office to cocktail parties.
Check them out:
Leather detailing adds a modern and tough edge with patent, pointed, cap toe boots, joggers, the bodice and sleeves of a mixed texture frock, and so much more
Variegated stripes, tile patterns, and multicolor prints uplift cutout elbow knits, luxurious spins on track pants and sweatshirts, and cinched-waist sheaths.
It is pretty much impossible not to fall hopelessly in love with the collection’s dresses and gowns, as that is what Gurung does best season after season. A v-neck colorblock number with a full skirt will surely be worn next month during the start of awards season, while a floral print mini design can be worn now with tights and booties and when Spring rolls around with bare legs and white pumps.
