Costume Institute Renamed After Anna Wintour.
Much like Diddy (formerly P.Diddy, Puffy, and Puff Daddy) The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Instute wing is getting a name change. And whose namesake might those hallowed halls bear? None other than Anna Wintour‘s! Solidifying her role as industry overlord, the Costume Institute will now be known as the Anna Wintour Costume Center. The curatorial department will still go by its original name. There’s no question Ms. Wintour is deserving of such an honor. She’s a trustee of the museum, has co-chaired 15 benefits for the Costume Institute since 1995, and has raised about $125 million for the Met over the years. Congrats to Anna! (WWD)
