People have been buzzing about Mindy Kaling’s ELLE magazine cover since its unveiling earlier this week, taking issue with the fact that the self-proclaimed size 8 comedienne’s body is cropped out, unlike her fellow cover stars Allison Williams, Amy Poehler, and Zooey Deschanel, and that it’s in black and white. Kaling, however seems to be cool with the shot, taking to Twitter to say that she loves her cover: “It made me feel glamorous & cool,” she wrote. “And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me.” ELLE‘s also piped up on the matter, releasing the following statement in response: “Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV Issue.” There you have it, folks! (ELLE)
