Lupita Nyong’o is having the best year ever. The Academy Award winning actress topped People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful” list and there have been several reports of new projects coming her way. The latest report is that Nyong’o in negotiations to star in a the live-action/CG hybrid film adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic “The Jungle Book.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nyongo’s character would be Raksha, the mother wolf that adopts the main character, a human boy, Mowgli.
With Idris Elba already signed on to play Shere Khan, the tiger who regards himself the king jungle, and Scarlett Johansson in talks to appear as Kaa, the hypnotizing snake, “The Jungle Book” is certainly getting a modern twist.  Lupita is also rumored to be cast “Star Wars: Episode VII” and a film adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s award-winning third novel “Americanah”. While Lupita has not been confirmed in any of the projects just yet, we’re sure she’s a shoo-in for whatever she has her eye on next.
