8 Places to Find Comfortable Yet Cute Work Shoes.
It’s been a little while since I’ve been apart of the corporate club, though I can recommend a few brands I love that and also a few I used to sport that were the most comfy of high heels.
Take a look:
1. Stuart Weitzman ($175-$475)
If Beyoncé can dance in Stuart Weitzman heels, then you can certainly work them for a day at the office! While everyone and their mother has the Nudist sandals, those in particular might be too high to work comfortably (I remember loving the brand’s Platswoon pumps back in the day). Take your pick from the stylish selections below, and note: keep an eye out for sales.
2. J.Crew ($198-$646)
The Sophia Webster x J.Crew Collection
J.Crew has been experiencing a style revolution for years, and their accessories are no exception! From mirrored multi-strapped numbers to black and white checks, you’re sure to find something to fit your chic palette. As with all things currently J.Crew, pieces are pricey, but the style is hard to deny. And if First Lady Michelle Obama cosigns the brand’s comfy Everly and Valentina pumps, then you know they’re the Bomb!
3. Vince Camuto ($45-$100)
Vince Camuto heels definitely fall on the more affordable side of the spectrum, ringing in on average at $100 or less. One of my besties swears by them, and wrote, “Vince Camuto’s are REALLY comfy and I get all sorts of compliments on them.” Designs range from snazzy to more signature.
4. Manolo Blahnik ($195-$995)
Carrie Bradshaw was certainly onto something with her love of Manolo Blahnik! The quality is undeniable and they’re definitely not as sole crushing as, say, a Louboutin. This is definitely an investment shoe, but one you will undoubtedly hold onto for several seasons. One of my stylist friends once said the the BB’s in suede feel ‘like slippers.’
5. Valentino ($945-$1,600)Valentino rockstuds are definitely eye catchers, thanks to their glistening studs. I own a pair of rockstud kitten heels, along with two pairs of pumps, mainly because they’re one of the most comfortable, fashionable shoes on the market. They can also do double duty–pair ‘em with jeans over the weekend. During Fashion Week, especially, I’m all about the Rockstuds. They’re worth the splurge.
6. Saint Laurent ($582-$1,395)
Saint Laurent Janis pumps are also part of the comfortable heels club, mainly due to their silhouette and 4 1/2″ heel. Get them in a flurry of colors.
7. Schutz ($170-$298)
Mix fashion and function with haute heels from Schutz. Though they’re known for their lace ups and racier styles, their pumps are pretty fabulous as well:
8. Zara ($20-$150)
Don’t sleep on Zara! In my archived article, titled, “10 Wardrobe Items Worth the Investment,” celebrity stylist Becca Alexis wrote, “While my shoe closet is stacked with Giuseppe, Marni, Louboutins and every other designer shoe you can think of, the shoe that has the most mileage in my closet are a black pair of three inch platform Zara shoes. This round toe classic shoe has a gold side zipper and simple gold metal where the sole and heel meets. I’ve had these $79 shoes for 3 winters. I’m 4’11 so I wear heels daily. I’m jetting in and out of a cab, on and off the train, up and down the stairs so after a long day in heels my knees and shoes take a beating. These Zara shoes have held up nicely. Quality leather, metal accents and classic shape is what makes this shoe an investment, not the color of the sole!”
Alright! Purchase Zara shoes here. Keep an eye out for genuine leather.
That said, most heels are hard to stand for long periods of time, so if all else fails, wear a kitten heel or flat;)
What do you guys think?
