While we all live for the priceless red carpet moments and stellar fashion choices made by our favorite celebs at any award show, one has to admit the personal and backstage pics turn out to be everything we’ve ever dreamed of. From the occasional “ussie” to on-stage performances, let’s take a look at some of the night’s most fashionable and water-cooler-conversation moments that celebs shared via Instagram.
Starting things off on the right note (pun intended), is the inimitable Beyoncé, who looked as resplendent as ever while wearing a Tom Ford mosaic bodysuit during her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award acceptance performance. Yes, dancer. Our hearts skipped beats and time stood still for us as well.
And not too far behind were The Yoncé girls three, Chanel Iman, Joan Smalls, and Jourdan Dunn, all fabulously decked out in Balmain for the night’s event. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Iggy Azalea hit the stage to perform her latest hit “Black Widow” with Rita Ora in a custom MarcoSquared bodysuit. Slay!
Speaking of Rita, she posed with the bodacious Jennifer Lopez for an intermittent snapshot. Rita looked ravishing in this red Donna Karan Atelier number. J. Lo’s mission to snatch every wig was fully accomplished as she stunned in her embellished Charbel Zoe gown.
Wardrobe malfunction aside, Nicki Minaj and Usher gave one heck of a
performance, though, hmm… Nicki’s white fur stole took me for a loop.
As pretty as it is, it didn’t seem functional for a high energy
performance.
She redeemed herself in this black Saint Laurent number though. This demure version of Nicki just makes my heart sing.
Rapper Juicy J snapped a quick flick before heading to the VMA’s in all
black and leather clad. Though I’m typically not a fan of outfits where
the leather components make for at least 90% of an ensemble, his $3,395
Givenchy star bomber jacket calls out to me.
And last, but not least, is British singer, Sam Smith looking dashing in a navy three-piece suit and black monk-strap shoes as he snapped a pre-show pic. And excuse the Kanye moment, but who else thinks he was… snubbed? Hmm…
