- Giorgio Armani is one of the more outspoken Italian fashion
designers, and this season he’s taking a stand during Milan Fashion
Week. The designer has confirmed that the Giorgio Armani brand will
host their show on the final day of Milan Fashion Week in February a bit
of a pushback to the five day calendar from this past season. (Vogue UK)
- Zac Posen is expanding his presence in the bridal industry with a
line of engagement rings and wedding bands. The range comes available

of gowns that launched earlier this year. Prices for the rocks start at
$980 per setting and it seems that some of them have already sold out. (The Hollywood Reporter)
- As always, Tom Ford hopes that big things are in store for his
businesses. Case in point: he’s hoping to grow his beauty business to
the level of MAC cosmetics. “I think MAC is a $3 billion brand, and I want to take [my brand] there,”
he said. And the latest move to do that comes in the form of 50
lipsticks in 10 color families available in miniature, clutch sized
containers all named for different men in Ford’s life. This Lips &
Boys collection will sell for $32 a tube and will be a valuable on the
Tom Ford website for one day on November 28 and will go in Tom Ford
stores the day after Christmas. (WWD)
- Plus-sized women are picking a bone with yet another brand this
week: Old Navy. According to reports, a petition has gained over 35,000
signatures demanding that the brand stop charging more money for it’s
plus-sized women’s jeans and that they stock these styles in stores as
they are now available exclusively online. “These clothes are specifically designed and manufactured to fit and flatter our valued customers,” said Debbie Felix, an Old Navy spokeswoman. “While we don’t make more money on our plus-size line, our plus-size clothes cost more because we invest more in them.” (Business of Fashion)
