  • It seems there’s a bit of a mass exodus from Teen Vogue. For the past few months, editors have been seemingly fleeing the publication for other titles. The latest is online deputy editor and features editor Jessica Pels, who is now headed to Marie Claire. It’s a bit of a jump, leaving from the Conde Nast family and into Hearst.   “Jessica’s enthusiasm for Marie claire is infectious,” said Marie Claire’s editor-in-chief- Anne Fulenwider. “Her smart, savvy approach fashion, beauty, news, feminism and culture embodies the Marie Claire spirit. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the brand.” (Mediabistro)

  • The thing about getting so high up in the fashion industry is most of the editors that far up always land on their feet.  Such is the case with Andre Leon Talley after being ousted from his perch at Zappos. The former editor has now been named fashion and style director for Will.i.am’s smart bracelet. “He is one of the most positive, charismatic [people[, and is a great visionary and philanthropist,” said Talley. In addition to that, he’s writing a memoir entitled Enchanting Angels. (The Cut)
  • Katy Perry has been announced as the official performer of next year’s Superbowl. Expect typical pop frivolity and maybe a firework or two. (Lucky Magazine)
