Fashion Scoop: Andre 3000 Displays Jumpsuits at Art Basel, Lindsay Lohan Designs Menswear, and New Public School Collaboration.
Andre 3000 wore a whopping 47 jumpsuits during the last Outkast reunion
tour and now, those fits are on display at Art Basel. The deep,
thoughtful reason for why he wore the jumpsuits was simple: he didn’t
know what to wear. “I’m like, how am I gonna present these songs? I don’t have nothing new to say,” he said. “So
I was like, maybe I can start saying new stuff while doing these old
songs. It became a theme where I was more excited about this than the
actual show. This is fun, running out in these.” (Four Pins)
According to Tracee Ellis Ross, television is starting to embrace black beauty and natural black hair. “I
think right now television is one of the places where women are pushing
up against that and saying, “You know what? I don’t need to play this
game anymore in order to be considered beautiful,” she said. And
indeed it is: Ross wears a natural style on Blackish and other actresses
like Viola Davis have gone so far as to remove their literal wigs on
television. That’s quite encouraging to hear, no? (The Cut)
Lindsay Lohan is working hard on her comeback tour. Her latest step is a
menswear clothing collaboration with Civil, to be stocked in Pacsun
stores. With prices starting at $29.99, the line is called “My
Addiction.” Ok, so maybe she isn’t working that hard, but still. (TMZ)
If you’ve been pouting because you haven’t received your invitation to
the Valentino couture show to be held in New York City next week, the
internet is here for you. The entire show will be live streamed for the
world to see so definitely mark December 11 in your datebook.
Hopefully though, they don’t show the dinner portion, because that’s
just cruel. (Twitter)
If you thought Public School was done with collaborations for the year,
you missed one. The brand has announced that they are teaming up with
the New York Knicks again on a collection of tees, sweaters, hoodies and
snapbacks. The line dropped yesterday so click fast because it’s
likely to sell out. (Complex)
