There’s been a revival of 90’s-inspired trends over the past few months. Since the grunge-filled presentations at New York Fashion Week (including Alexander Wang and Dries Van Noten), the fascination with this era has caused quite a stir in the style industry. I’ve whipped out my crop tops, Doc Martens and “around the waist” ties… But, the fabric chokers??
So, help me out as i try to decipher whether we’re rocking or knocking this rocker-chic accent.

Gigi Hadid rocked her choker for a night out on the town. While pairing it with a monochromatic look and funky lace-ups, she pulled the trend off effortlessly.

Yesterday, LaLa Anthony served it up for the ‘Gram as she embrace more softer hues. Slay, hunty!

Let’s not forget about the Fenty x Puma Fall 2016 runway show! This presentation was was loaded with references to the beloved 90’s.

Our girl Karrueche offered a more playful spin on the fabric choker. While donning a thinner version and Aquazzura’s adorable pom-pom sandals, she added a personal touch to a simple ‘fit. Cute!

And, last up, we have Rihanna! The fashionista turned heads in a risque high-slit Tom Ford number and a matching white choker. Gorg, no?
