Must-Do Mondays: Your Ponytail Will Never Be the Same

Take your ponytail to the next level.
Want "maximum control of [your] ponytail with limited movement while fastening and securing?" The solution (that works will all hair types) is a DIY hair bungee that TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist John D created and it'll "[help you] guarantee a practically perfect pony." What more could you want?

How It's Done: "To create a bungee cord at home, you need a couple of bobby pins and a normal hair elastic."
1. "Slide the bobby pins onto the elastic on opposite sides."
2. "Next, gather hair into a ponytail and stick one bobby pin into the base of your pony to secure the elastic."
3. "Then wrap the loose side of the elastic around the hair."
4. "Finish by pushing the other bobby pin into the base of the ponytail, over the original pin. This locks in the band—just like a bungee hair cord would!"
Yes, it's that easy.
Why You Should Do This: "You won't have to mess with pulling the length of the ponytail through the elastic two to three times before securing," noted John. "Just decide on the placement and set!"
