Classics: Dame Shirley Bassey
Let’s take a look at classic beauty – the ever-so-charming Dame Shirley Bassey.
Shirley Bassey was born on January 8th, 1937 in Wales. As the youngest of six siblings, she was raised by parents of both English and Nigerian descent. At a young age, Bassey’s undeniable voice was recognized by both her teachers and her classmates. By 1953, she signed her first professional contract and began to head various tour variety shows; however, it wasn’t until the 1960s when Bassey made a significant breakthrough into the UK charts. Her crossover into the Top 40 Billboard 100 was one of her career highlights with her performance of the title song from the 1964 James Bond film, “Goldfinger“.
Most people may not be familiar with Bassey but her sheer grasp on personal style definitely deserves to be recognized. This legendary singer rocked it all! From bold embellishments to sultry cut-outs, she was the epitome of glamorous. While skimming through the endless photos, I also noticed that she faithfully uplifted loads of finger adornments. Her natural beauty is so inspiring. Sidenote: Get into this all-white ‘fit below! Yes!
