Fashion Scoop: Chrissy Teigen Vows To Never Photoshop, London Fashion Week Gets New Home, Style.com To Be Folded Into Vogue
It’s pretty common knowledge that a lot people do a little
“perfecting” before posting a selfie on social media. It’s nothing
major, but every once in a while some take it a tad overboard. Chrissy
Teigen has decided not to take party, saying she will never use
body-altering apps every again. Of course, we’re assuming this is only
for social media. (Racked)
Saturday morning, Nepal was rocked by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake
that has seen a death toll of more than 1,200 people. Nepalese-raised
designer Prabal Gurung acted swiftly, galvanizing support and finances

Looks like New York Fashion Week isn’t the only industry event
that’s relocating; London Fashion Week has now announced that they too
have moved. Beginning in September, shows will take place at Brewer
Street Car Park in Soho, which is more central to the city than Somerset
House. Events will take over two floors of the space. (Fashionista)
Did you think you had heard the last of Google Glass? Think again.
The tech company is said to be working on their second version and
looping in a fashion name early in the process. Italian luxury eyewear
company Luxottica is going to be instrumental in the process. Luxottica
is also the team behind Ray-Bans as well as Giorgio Armani’s eyewear. (Racked)
A few months ago, there were rumors that Style.com was getting
rolled into the Vogue umbrella and today those rumors are verified.
Starting this Fall, Style.com will become an e-commerce venture for
Conde Nast with all editorial content rolled under Vogue in a new site:
VogueRunway.com. The new Style.com will sell clothes, tech and homewares
to respect the breadth of Conde Nast publications and will start off
based in London this fall before expanding to the U.S. early next year.
It will be quite an interesting transition to watch. (Business of Fashion)
