Just the other day, Saldana posted a pic on Instagram of one of the boys sitting in a homemade cardboard box pirate ship as they were packing to return to L.A. after shooting the new Star Trek in Vancouver.
"Being married to an artist means that he will open the kitchen, open the closet, go to the garage and go, 'Z, it's OK. It's OK, I have the toy,' and he brings out a broomstick and tapes it to this box," Saldana told me last night at the launch party for Verizon's new mobile video service go90. "And he puts one baby in and then the other one starts crying because he wants to go in there and then none of us could pack because it was all about, 'row, row,' and then you had to drag that box so they could row."
Too cute.
"These boys are like gladiators," she said. "They beat the crap out of each other. I'm like, 'Chill, man—what is going on?"
There is some hair pulling involved. "I'm like, 'Don't pull the only three [strains] he has,'" Zoe said with a laugh. "It's fun. It's never a dull moment."
Zoe and the production company she runs with her two sisters Cisely and Mariel recently signed a deal to produce content for AwesomenessTV's Awestruck service, which will be available on go90, YouTube and Facebook in the fall.
The sisters said much of their programming will be aimed at new moms.
Saldana admitted it's getting harder to leave the boys at home when she has to go to work. "It's more difficult because the more attached we have all become to each other, Marco and I and the boys," she said. "They don't want to see you go and they really make it difficult for you."
