Glass Half Full By Majorie Harvey.

It’s amazing the powerful impact one tiny, microscopic thing can have when it is replicated over and over again. Think about it: weightless snowflakes turn into avalanches, raindrops into floods, even monsoons. Financial institutions make trillions of dollars every year from credit card transaction fees that individually may only amount to a few cents per swipe, but when you multiply that small number numerous times, you’ve created astounding wealth.

Repetition creates significance. It’s a divine law, which is why habits become very important factors when determining an individual’s success or failure. Allow me to draw a parallel between this principle and the power we have as it relates to our thoughts. Seemingly trivial imaginings, notions, and ideas, when repeated continually, have profound influence on everything measurable in our lives. The impact they have on our decisions, corresponding actions, health, relationships, wealth and so much more have been scientifically proven many times. These findings only help to validate the need to make positive thinking our cognitive norm.

I guarantee you any successful individual you admire (famous or unknown) practices positive thinking on a regular basis. In simple terms, it’s choosing to see what opportunities exist as opposed to focusing on those that do not. It’s the proverbial “glass half full” perspective. Each of us possess the power to see life in this manner. Yes, there will always be obstacles, challenges, even set backs, but when we adopt this way of thinking repeatedly in our lives, its positive momentum results in extraordinary results.
