Fashion Deets: The 88th Annual Academy Awards with Kerry Washington in Atelier Versace, Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa, Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad, and More!
The 88th Annual Academy Awards go down in a couple of hours! With many black leaders in entertainment opting out of the awards show and Chris Rock hosting, it is sure to be an eventful night.
Let’s get into the ensembles, shall we?
Kerry Washington gave an edgy spin to the classic black and white combo in a black leather bodice Atelier Versace gown with a white slit skirt. Werk Kerry!
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend got our vote for the night’s cutest couple, with the mommy-to-be in Marchesa.
A big red carpet event cannot go down without a Zuhair Murad sighting. Priyanka Chopra chose the brand for the evening in a strapless sheer, floral embroidered number. Ravishing.
Sofia Vergara stuck to her signature strapless silhouette in Marchesa, but gave a bit something different in the form department with peplum and tulle detailing.
Mindy Kaling was on-trend in an off-the-shoulder Elizabeth Kennedy gown with a sleek chignon and deep berry lips. Stunning.
Common was so fresh and so clean in a white Dolce & Gabbana tux with black accents. He’s always swoon-worthy!
The Weeknd was suited up in what seemed like the hundredth black tux of the evening.
Lady Gaga tried on trousers for the evening in a strapless Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit with a voluminous overlay and train. Magnificent look!
Olivia Munn went bold in an orange one-shoulder Stella McCartney gown and Forevermark diamonds. A great mix of elegance and fun.
Andra Day always serves up a retro-inspired look. She did it to perfection in a yellow off-the-shoulder gown. Beautiful!
Olivia Wilde was white hot in a pleated Maison Valentino Haute Couture gown with a plunging neckline. This was delightful.
Alicia Vikander was a ray of sunshine in a yellow embellished Louis Vuitton frock with a bubble hem. Princess-chic for sure!
Liz Hernandez slipped on a black one-shoulder gown with mesh and ruffle accents.
Zuri Hall was the lady in red, donning a strapless Portia and Scarlett design. Gorgeous no?
Robin Roberts gave the Oscars statue a run for its money in a gold embellished high-neck gown. She’s never looked better!
Maria Menounos shimmered and sparkled in a custom beaded off-the-shoulder gown by Christian Siriano. She never disappoints!
Blue was on the menu for Michael Strahan in a contrast lapel three-piece tux.
Louise Roe was pretty in peach, clad in an artful strapless number.
Abraham Attah was dapper in a black three-piece tux.
Tracey Edmonds flaunted her curves in a white beaded Lorena Sarbu stunner. Hot!
Sam Smith hit the red carpet in a classic Dunhill tux.
Daisy Ridley couldn’t be missed in an embellished Chanel Couture dress.
We rarely see Whoopi Goldberg in red carpet-ready attire, but she served in a black off-the-shoulder full skirted gown.
Saoirse Ronan was respledent in a sequin-embellished Calvin Klein design.
Blue was a big hue of the night, with Naomi Watts wearing a strapless sequin Armani Privé gown in navy.
Another blue dress! Brie Larson chose the shade in a frothy and ruffle-accented Gucci number.
Heidi Klum looked every bit the model in a one-shoulder lilac Versace gown with rosette detailing.
Margot Robbie was gilded in a long-sleeve gold Tom Ford gown. The hair left a bit to be desired, but it was an exquisite look nonetheless!
Rooney Mara and Givenchy are a sartorial match made in heaven, thus it was no surprise to see her in a long-sleeve lace gown from the iconic French fashion house.
Jennifer Garner gave just a bit of glitz with an embellished bodice and diamond jewels.
Cate Blanchett is easily one of my all-time red carpet faves. She did not disappoint in a rosette-detailed Armani gown.
Julianne Moore was clad in a black Chanel gown with cutout straps and embellished trim. Lovely!
Jared Leto always goes against the grain! He looked impossibly cool in a Gucci contrast-trim suit, red rosette in place of a bow tie, and lace-up shoes. He’s always hot.
Rachel McAdams showed some leg in a forest green August Getty gown with a thigh-high slit. I was pleased with this.
Tina Fey was snatched in a strapless draped Versace number.
Emily Blunt showed off her baby bump in a blush pink Prada gown with crystal embellishment.
Reese Witherspoon slipped on a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown in a deep sapphire hue.
Charlize Theron sizzled in a red Dior gown with a plunging neckline. Marvelous!
It was a Titanic reunion on the red carpet for Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet—with the British beauty in Ralph Lauren and Mr. Dicaprio in Armani. How sweet!
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the faces of Dior, thus it was no surprise to see her in a black lace and chiffon gown from the French fashion house. Pretty no?
