London Fashion Week Day 5 Recap: Victoria, Victoria Beckham, Marques’ Almeida, and More!
London Fashion Week wrapped up on Tuesday and what a week it has been! In addition to every style of puffer jacket imaginable, we’ve seen a bit of what the future holds from graduates of Central Saint Martins and where establishment brands, such as Burberry are headed. Milan Fashion Week is already underway, but find out what took place on the last day on London Fashion Week.
Having Fun at Victoria, Victoria Beckham
Baby sis to the main Victoria Beckham line, Victoria, Victoria Beckham was much more playful than the main line with kaleidoscopic natural separates and borderline outrageous pink frocks designed for a youthful audience.
Vibes at Marques’ Almeida
Portuguese-born designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida of Marques’ Almeida convinced their friends to walk in their Fall 2016 RTW presentation early this week and it upped the coolness vibe on the runway. Bold colors dominated and high-low styling felt true to the way women dress today.
#Squad Goals at Ashley Williams
New brand to watch, Ashley Williams epitomized strong female relationships with its uniform-heavy aesthetic. Georgia May Jagger and Adwoa Aboah led the pack with a taser-print pantsuit and diamanté jewelry for a perfect mix of rebellious luxe.
And The Rest…
Mother of Pearl largely dealt with the tracksuit in a 26-piece presentation, playing with ruffles and geometric pleating while Christopher Raeburn gave the public true sustainability in fashion with his outerwear made of upcycled military uniforms. Emilio de la Morena was all sheers through a collection of lace barely-there ensembles fit for the boudoir or a cocktail party.
